I started a blog and all I got was this lousy t-shirt
Back when I started blogging, there weren’t any pitches or product offerings. I didn’t even know what an ad network was. Then boom! I overcame all my blog ethic worries and put ads on my site. I was hungry for blog revenue. I mean, if I could cover my hosting costs, domain name and shipping for product giveaways it’d all be worth it.
And then lo and behold.
I made $4 in six months.
The blog g-ds had answered.
I could finally buy that chai latte I had always wanted. Or 3 1/2 things at the dollar store (you have to remember the tax). I could finally tell people I had made money off my blog.
And then it all really started.
People started pitching me! I got pitched for some really awesome things. Heard of Smelly Washer? It gets the smell out of your washing mashine. Or how about nutrition facts about bottled water? It’d make great content for my site.
I was on such a high from people actually wanting me I almost lost the true meaning of blogging altogether.
That next month I was on track to make $6. Cash is king, people.
